DISCUSSION : Biggest Change In Cars In The Last 10 Years?

in my opinion the biggest change is power... nowadays you have Toyota Camry's making over 300 horsepower which is just mind blowing considering that just 10-14 years ago, that's how much a lower end sports car usually had... insane. What do you guys think the biggest change is?

The overall level of tech and ability in cars now, 10 years ago a large number of cars sold at a low price would have no sat nav.
Now that has completely gone, even Dacia's and the cheapest cars tend to have a screen of some sort.
You would also find that most hot hatches or sports cars, would compromise in a way, either a small hot hatch would skip on the interior to give affordable performance, or it compromise the fun for luxuries like a better ride.
Same with sports cars, they'd be light weight and stripped out like a lotus or expensive and verging on usable daily with things like the R8 and Vantage.
Now cars have such a great level of luxury, tech and performance that cars are very rarely considered unusable day to day.

I agree, the Camry has come a long way and it has power but I also think that it is really good looking!

To me one of the biggest changes aside from the power it's probably the overall quality of the cars nowadays!

Eh the new jetta still only makes like 150 hp for the base one! (my 2003 makes 115hp :P) I think the biggest change is that cars just continue to get larger and larger! never would I imagine a world where the jetta is so big it even NEEDS a back up camera

How many people want the car to do the driving for them so they can watch cat videos behind the wheel.

Refinement of fuel injection systems, and electronics. Machining processes for precise components and ability to form higher tolerance materials for less money.
