Ferrari have decided to develop one of the most "BOMB!!!" engines for their Laferrari successor
This morning, during a hurried (and slightly frenzied) press conference, Ferrari dropped a BOMBshell by releasing some information about the future successor to the Laferrari. If you could not tell by the blatent use of the word bomb, the information relates to bombs, although in a good way. They said they would soon release the most powerful car on the face of the earth (their word, not mine), and what they announced, if successful, would back up that claim. It is simply called the "Detonazione", and will somehow use the untapped power of abandoned, forgotten, unexploded World War II 500-pound bombs in the engine bay of their newest concept vehicle. This would undoubtedley provide ,A LOT, of power. Yes, that also means if this actually worked out, you would have the closest thing to a bomb behind your head acting as a powerplant. Although, they don't even know how it will worked. The unnamed Ferrari PR representative merely mentioned that "we were still working out the details", that they had only come up with this idea "while we were all in the middle of our second breakfast this very morning", and that "we penciled out a few sketches on napkins, and we're pretty sure we can eventually make this work, and function well enough to allow potential buyers the ability to use their new Detonazione more than once or twice." This idea seems that it won't be a good daily driver though, will probably be a very, very quick track focused hypercar (just like the Senna). A car like this would probably cost in the range of $3-4 million dollars, and defnitely rival the Valkyrie and Mercedes AMG Project One. Can you even imagine how this car, an XX version of it (obviously from the Ferrari's XX Program) and even an XX Evoluzione version of it (also from Ferrari's XX Program) could look like. It will most likely look extreme and beautiful since it is coming out of Ferrari. Would you buy it over the Valkyrie or Project One? I'm not sure myself.
