Range Rover Velar SVR Almost Ready To Challenge AMG GLC 63 and Cayenne!
As its debut closes in, the range-topping SVR version of the Range Rover Velar continues its development cycle at the famous Nurburgring.
Packing a supercharged V8 under its shapely bonnet, the fastest Range Rover Velar will go after rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Power is expected to be around the 542hp mark.
The company’s engineers have been putting the final touches on the SUV’s chassis and suspension, testing the upcoming Velar SVR at high-speed on the Nurburgring. As you would expect, the air suspension will feature new, more aggressive settings to keep everything in check.
The exterior of the Range Rover Velar will gain the usual SVR touches, including a more aggressive front bumper with big air intakes, large wheels that fit the huge brakes and a rear bumper that appears designed to host a sizeable diffuser between the exhaust pipes.
The aluminum architecture is expected to give the Velar SVR the edge over its rivals on measurements like kerb weight but it will still tip the scales at around 1,800kg.
The hot Range Rover Velar SVR is expected to be revealed this summer, with sales to begin in Europe shortly after.
Jaguar Land Rover is also developing the SVR version of the Jaguar F-Pace, which is expected to offer more power than the Velar from its supercharged V8. If that’s true, then expect to see the Velar SVR retaining a more luxurious character than the F-Pace SVR.

Personally, I wouldn'y think twice about buying this over an AMG or Cayenne!
I think this will look incredible and sound it too.
The question over the car will be long term quality, however I think the newer cars are improving!
